DESCRIPTION:

 

The SharePoint Consultant will be responsible for gathering and translating business requirements and functional specifications into working, tested and configurable components/applications.

 

To execute their responsibilities, the consultant will be required to engage clients directly, provide expert advice on solutions, estimate effort, demonstrate solutions, demonstrate SharePoint functionality, assemble solutions form a library components, make recommendations on what components/applications should be added to a standard library, provide input into cost models and train users/admins/developers on the use of SharePoint and provisioned applications components, gather business requirements, run JAD sessions, and provide SharePoint training and demos.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Working with any one or more of the technologies below, the consultant will participate in the design of SharePoint solutions based on client’s service specifications, standards, policies, best practices and cost models, in order to meet client SharePoint business requirement and project/initiative deliverables.

- Manage coordination of all IT-related services.

- Manage the resources and tasks required to accomplish the work described in the Background section and other activities as assigned

- Adherence to Project Management Office (PMO) methodology.

- Adherence to Enterprise Architecture guidelines

- Adherence to IT Standards

- Use Project Management tools/templates and repositories to manage and track project artefacts

- Provide regular status reports.

- Liaise with Business Management, Infrastructure Technology Services

- Participate in IT Sub-Committee and Working Group(s).
