DESCRIPTION:

 

- Working on a team which is responsible for supporting all applications used for Capital Markets, Investments.

- Plan and execute projects including managing scope, requirement changes, budget, timelines, assumptions, risks and issues

- Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports contractors, and interns), delegating work to appropriate resources.

- Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.

- Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.

- Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed and monitored and proactively addressed in a timely fashion.

- Ensure that projects are implemented using CIBC processes and methodologies while being delivered on time, keeping senior management aware of key information.

- Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures.  

- Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.  

- Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.

- Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising.

- Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements.   

- Prepare and present cost-benefit analysis. 

- Successfully plan, execute, control and close projects against defined scope and budget using CIBC procedures and policies.

- Manage medium to large scale projects working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources.

- Manage application development projects of $300-500K in value.  Role will also require creating dashboards and metrics in relation to project status using PowerPoint.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

- 2+ years of project manager work experience within a large enterprise-level organization

- Experience with MS Project, PowerPoint and Word

- Bank experience

- Capital Markets, Investments experience – an asset

- PlanView experience – an asset

- ITIL – an asset

- Agile CSM – an asset

- PMP – an asset

- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal

- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills

- Self-motivated and works well under pressure and with minimal supervision

- Good time management skills
