Role Summary
The Vista Developer (Contract) will design and build operational dashboards for warehouse teams by integrating data from existing Power BI dashboards and a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Dashboards will be displayed on TV screens at warehouse loading docks to provide real-time visibility into shipping and loading activity (e.g., trucks, pallets, and order status). The role will contribute to a .NET-based web application using Radzen for rapid UI development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance dashboards for warehouse operations and loading dock visibility.
- Translate operational requirements into clear dashboard KPIs and views for TV-based display in a warehouse environment.
- Ingest, transform, and model data sourced from existing Power BI dashboards and the WMS.
- Build and iterate UI screens using Radzen (WYSIWYG) within a .NET web application.
- Integrate with internal and external APIs, including legacy integrations (e.g., AS400/MBA) as needed.
- Support tracking and monitoring use cases including trucks, pallet movement, loading progress, and orders that are pending or delayed.
- Collaborate with operations and technical stakeholders to validate data accuracy, usability, and performance of dashboards.
- Contribute to deployment and troubleshooting in cloud and Linux-based environments (Azure, Ubuntu).
- Leverage AI-assisted development (“vibe coding”) responsibly to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality and security.
Systems & Operational Context
This role supports warehouse and last-mile delivery visibility workflows. The environment includes ShipTrack, a cloud-based logistics and last-mile delivery management platform used for real-time shipment tracking, route planning, driver dispatch, and electronic proof of delivery to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Experience building data-driven dashboards and operational reporting solutions.
- Working knowledge of Power BI (consuming or translating existing dashboards and datasets).
- Experience with .NET web application development.
- Hands-on experience with API integration and troubleshooting data flows across systems.
- Comfort working in cloud environments (Azure) and Linux-based hosts (Ubuntu).
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting and collaborate effectively across time zones during core EST hours.
Preferred Assets
- Experience with Radzen for rapid screen/UI prototyping (WYSIWYG).
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and warehouse operations KPIs (loading, pallet tracking, dock scheduling).
- Exposure to legacy system integrations (e.g., AS400).
- Experience designing “TV dashboard”/large-format operational displays for shop floor or warehouse environments.
