 DESCRIPTION:

    • The contractor will support the operationalization of enterprise AI standards, responsible AI guardrails, and AI risk management practices aligned with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
    • The contractor will take the insights of a recent independent maturity assessment and work to integrate findings and observations into practical standards, controls, workflows, and playbooks that exist or can be adopted across Technology, Risk, Legal/Compliance, Procurement, Audit, and business teams.

The contractor will partner with Technology, Risk, Legal/Compliance, Procurement, Audit, and business stakeholders to implement AI governance and risk controls aligned with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.

    • Apply NIST AI RMF concepts across the AI lifecycle, including integration into existing governance, risk management, and monitoring activities.
    • Develop, implement, and operationalize AI governance standards, procedures, and guidance aligned with the NIST AI RMF maturity assessment findings.
    • Facilitate cross-functional working sessions and help establish a sustainable AI governance operating model.
    • Develop scalable workflows and control guidance to support consistent AI governance implementation across the enterprise.
    • Translate AI principles and risk requirements into clear control expectations, review checkpoints, and implementation guidance.
    • Develop executive-level presentation materials to communicate NIST AI RMF priorities, implementation progress, and key risk considerations.
    • Partner with the Project Manager to support workstream planning, monitor deliverables, and enable timely execution against agreed priorities.

REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, risk management, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
    • Relevant certifications such as ISO 42001 Lead Implementer, AIGP, or equivalent.
    • Comfortable working through ambiguity and aligning stakeholders around clear decisions
    • Able to balance governance requirements with practical implementation, operational usability, and business enablement.
    • Clear communicator with sound judgment, attention to detail, and a strong enterprise risk mindset.
    • Strong knowledge of technology governance frameworks, technology architecture, and risk management.
    • Working knowledge of the NIST AI RMF, responsible AI principles, AI lifecycle governance, and AI risk management practices.
    • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, including model development, deployment, monitoring, and generative AI risks.
    • Strong writing, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Familiarity with GRC platforms or workflow automation platforms
    • 8+ years of experience in technology policy and risk management initiatives across AI and emerging technology, cybersecurity, compliance, or large-scale program implementation.
    • Experience in financial services, pension, asset management, or another regulated technology environment
    • Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority.
    • Experience with AI governance, large language model risk management, AI vendor assessments, or enterprise AI enablement programs.
    • Experience developing standards, inventories, RACIs, risk registers, dashboards, playbooks, workflows, and executive materials.
